Yongsi was born in Guiyang, China. She was exposed to classical music under the influence of her composer mother, and began composing at 12. She lived abroad several times in her youth and moved to Japan on her own at 17. Growing up in a complex environment where Eastern and Western languages and cultures collided, she was enabled to build up an enchanting, dark, and unpredictable music style.
